Just shut up and look at the sky

Ustedes sabrán disculpar la obsesividad con que vuelvo una y otra vez al mismo paisaje, pero es que no pasan.

Im gonna tell you how amazing love is cos that what i'm told you like
and Im gonna describe how a sunset made me cry, yeah right.
and Im gonna throw you a shit load of adjectives you can arrange
into magnificent explanations of why you and your associations are really not so strange.

I'm gonna advise that all the small things in your life should all be kept
and ill deliver vague reasons for all your impeachments that you'll accept.
i will paint pictures posing elegantly as scriptures on self help
reaffirming that yearning for riches wont always get you what you know as wealth.

But what of today?
And I know the horizon seems miles away
but your already on the line
you been standing there for such a long long long long time.

Just shut up and look at the sky
shut up and look at the sky
just shut up and look at the sky
shut up and look at the sky.

I'm gonna tell you how I sat down in field with a beautiful girl
and the ambiance was so fucking perfect I reassessed my world
i'm gonna need you believe that your soul can be cleansed
and that just for a moment i know you wont think of the bad again.

And i'll yak about beauty and though i know you see through me you'll agree
with all my beaten up metaphors my client-less set of whores left on the street
and my words are so vague they cant help but relate to something in you
and ill chisel a fable that makes you feel able to see things through.

But what of today?
And I know the horizon seems miles away
but your already on the line
you been standing there for such a long long long long time.

just shut up and look at the sky
shut up and look at the sky
just shut up and look at the sky
shut up and look at the sky
